I do not know where you create the time but all your writing is so powerful and potent. I look forward to becoming a paid subscriber and joining the Center for Non-Religious Spirituality and Existential Health. I took so many notes (still reading) and I'm so grateful. For the language but ALSO you're the first person to mention Warm Data since I went to an impromtu event Nora facilitated in Amsterdam in February 2025. I know mercury is retrograde now but I was NOT expecting to find a piece of mySelf in this full piece. I am glad to be on her newsletter now as I lost touch with my Gaia House roommate who was currently training with her and invited me to this gathering. Wowee...more soon. Thank yew
Studied Systems Thinking at MIT in 2017 and was overwhelmed then. Systems interrelationships mapping is indeed one thing - it’s getting a diverse group to support and respect the work each in the fold is doing. I’m trying not to despair these days.
I find myself asking a questions after reading this: How the requirement to pay rent to exist legally within societies that increasingly raise the "cost of living" affects our existential health personally and globally especially those who are living with chronic poverty feeling desperate so much so they are unable to contemplate much of anything else but their lack of existential health? How do we find a way to come together to declare that there are eight biological requirements for human and earth thriving and those requirements are not meant for profit but sharing for the greatest good of all life on earth? Because as long as decision makers and so called owners of earths life-giving resources continue exploiting the biological requirements for thriving, our existential health continues to be diminished. For as long as I have been alive I have questioned the purpose of human existence if only to seek enough money to legally and inadequately exist as a poverty-stricken human being. Existential health at a personal level is of course having the capacity to accept reality as it is and grow with it. The barrier for me in consideration of humanity is the financial burden an increasing number of humans everywhere are facing - because that burden diminishes individual and global existential health. We all know the exploitation of life on earth for profit is not working and is deeply affecting existential health. So how can we become existentially healthy while our life sources are monetized to the point of chronic depletion at scale? My perspective is not easy to digest because I truly believe that deprofitizing the eight biological requirements for human and earth thriving seems simplistic because it is. The more convoluted and expensive systems and technology become, the more humanity realizes its existential health is being indifferently compromised, exploited and monetized, the more humanity will suffer because most feel powerless to change anything individually, which is why groups are forming as they have all through history, to evolve in more intelligent ways for future generations. We know that exploiting biological requirements of life for profit is hurting, damaging, killing and yet it continues as if what is permissible does not have to be honorable toward earth and each other. I truly believe that monetizing essential needs for human and earth thriving is the demise of existential health for all life on earth. The the big question still remains: Will we ever have the capacity to unify globally in the name of existential health for ALL life by deprofitizing the eight biological requirements for human and earth thriving? Right now many people are feeling the affects of the great nothingness, the exploitation of life giving resources for profit and the pain is evident everywhere. People are showing their truth, that we are yearning for a gloabl paradigm shift.
This is a very important essay beyond my capacity to articulate just how important it could be.(see what I did there? :-)
One thing kept popping up for me was the feeling that the focus seemed to keep coming back to a potential type of indidialism that felt like how blaming the victim works in justice systems- The responsibilty for the harm and safety falls to the victum, not the perpetrators or the structures that enabled the harm to occur.
It was the feeling that the responsabilty for adjusting to the modern world and developing capacity to inhabit it without overwhelm falls to the individual. lack of capacity seems to be a unequely individual problem
